Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What should I/we wear for the photoshoot?
  • Other than the online gallery, where can I print my images?
    • This is a great question! As you will have rights to the images, you are free to print wherever you would like...yes, even Walgreens, Costco, or Wal-mart. However, please keep in mind that where you print your images will certainly impact the quality. Here are a few recommendations for you:
      • My website! - One of the main reasons I run my website through Zenfolio is because of the amazing quality of their products! Not only do they offer a wide-variety of prints and products, but the prices are reasonable as well (depending on the product - maybe not so much on canvases). Zenfolio works with some of the top printing labs in the nation, and it def. shows through their quality! However, you will have to pay for shipping, so it would be in your best interest to order all at once if possible.
      • Mpix.com - Mpix is one of those amazing professional companies that I told you is available on Zenfolio (my website). In fact, it is one of the top recommended labs by professional photographers. As I mentioned, their prices are reasonable, and their customer service is fantastic. Obviously it would make more sense to order from your online gallery so that you wouldn't have to transfer/upload your images again, but in case you can't find what you're looking for, I def. recommend checking out Mpix.
      • CGProPrints.com - This company is great especially for canvases. Their quality is good and their pricing is reasonable. They also frequently offer coupons and deals for your purchases.
      • Wondering why I haven't mentioned any of your typical over-the-counter printing stores? Well, the truth is, although they sometimes may offer a better price, their quality will certainly not be as good. This can effect things such as clarity, durability of the photo, and color, which makes a HUGE difference. • Do I need a photo release form?
    • Honestly, I stopped giving these out a couple of years ago because my clients have not had a need for one. Because it has become a more common practice for professional photographers to offer the rights to digital images, most places that print images not longer require them. If you would like me to provide one with your images just to be safe, I can absolutely do that for you! Otherwise, you most likely won't need it, and if you later find that you do, I can always provide you with one.
  • How long will it take to get our images?
    • This will vary a little bit depending on the type of Photoshoot. For weddings, you can expect to receive your online gallery within 6-8 weeks. For any other type of portraits, the timeline will be much shorter.
  • Do you travel for weddings?
    • Absolutely! I love to travel, and I would be honored to be a part of your special day wherever it may be! Travel charges may apply based on location and timeline (please inquire for more information).
  • Do you have lighting equipment in case our reception is in the evening?
    • Yes I do! I won't bore you with the type of equipment, but I will tell you that it does require electricity (some are battery-powered, but not mine). I have plenty of extension cords, and if you have a DJ or extra lighting, I will certainly work around them, but please make sure there is at least one place where I can plug in the equipment.
  • "I found lots of great ideas on Pinterest for our photos; can we do some of those?"
    • Of course! Pinterest is a great place to encourage creativity and find great ideas. If you have specific images that you would like to re-create, simply send me your Pinterest board and let me know what it is you would like to create!
